Our Services
Software-driven electrical design for LV, HV and EHV projects across rail, aviation and energy sectors.
⚡ Prodesign — Cable Sizing & Protection Coordination
We use Trimble ProDesign and Trimble Powernet — the industry-standard tools for electrical network analysis — to produce accurate, compliant design packages for LV and HV distribution systems across all sectors.
ProDesign and Powernet are accepted across UK infrastructure programmes including rail, aviation, and energy projects. Every calculation is automatically verified against BS 7671 and relevant sector standards, producing outputs ready for client review, multidisciplinary coordination, and authority submission.
Deliverables
- Cable sizing calculation reports (individual circuits and full distribution networks)
- Protection coordination studies (discrimination analysis, time-current curves)
- Load flow analysis and power factor assessment
- Fault level calculations (3-phase and single-phase fault currents)
- Short-circuit protection verification
- Voltage drop assessment throughout the network
- PDF calculation packs formatted for client and approval authority submission
Typical Applications
- Underground rail and station LV distribution systems

⏚ Earthing Study Design — SES MultiFields & FCDIST
We carry out detailed earthing and electromagnetic studies using SES MultiFields and SES FCDIST software — part of the industry-leading SES Technologies suite, certified to Level 1 in MultiFields and Transient/EMI Analysis. These tools are used on major UK and international infrastructure projects for earth electrode design, touch/step voltage analysis, and EMI assessment.
A robust earthing design is essential for personnel safety, equipment protection, and regulatory compliance. Our studies produce the engineering evidence required to satisfy BS EN 50522 and ENA TS 41-24, and are suitable for submission to DNOs, approval authorities, and principal contractors. We also support earthing and bonding assurance reviews — checking design submissions for compliance with project specifications, EMC requirements, and technical standards.
Deliverables
- Earth electrode design and layout optimisation
- Touch voltage and step voltage analysis
- Earth potential rise (EPR) calculations
- Transferred potential assessment
- Transient and EMI / EMC analysis
- Soil resistivity modelling (Wenner / Schlumberger method inputs)
- BS EN 50522 compliance report
- ENA TS 41-24 compliance documentation
- Earthing and bonding assurance reviews against project specifications
- Recommendations for earthing system improvements
Typical Applications
- HV and EHV substations (including 275 kV systems)
- Rail traction power, return current and bonding systems
