Who We Are
Sparklineeng is a specialist electrical design engineering consultancy based in London, delivering focused, software-driven design services to electrical contractors and principal contractors across the UK. We work directly within project teams — providing reliable, submission-ready engineering outputs without the overhead of a large consultancy.
Our core expertise spans electrical system design, grounding and earthing studies, cable management, and protection coordination. We have built this experience across some of the most technically demanding sectors in UK infrastructure: rail, aviation, and high-voltage energy projects — working through all project stages from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.
Our two specialist service offerings — Prodesign cable analysis using Trimble ProDesign and Trimble Powernet, and earthing study design using SES MultiFields and FCDIST — are the disciplines where accurate, software-backed calculations make the biggest difference to programme delivery and compliance.
Our Approach
We produce engineering that is correct, well-documented, and ready for client review and authority submission. Every calculation pack includes source data, software outputs, and a clear results summary — formatted to meet the expectations of principal contractors and approval bodies.
We are experienced in multidisciplinary project environments and understand how electrical design interfaces with civil, structural, and systems engineering. That coordination experience means our outputs integrate smoothly into wider design programmes with minimal back-and-forth.
Standards compliance is treated as a baseline, not a checkbox. We work to BS 7671, BS EN 50522, ENA TS 41-24, IEC, and National Grid requirements as standard, and adapt to sector-specific and client-specific specifications — including LU, HS2, HAL, and energy-sector requirements.
